Accessorized

Cardigan: Thrifted, Sheer Pink Top & Skirt: Forever21

Hat & Belt: Claire's

Purse: Marshalls, Wing Bracelet: Claire's, Multi-Strand Bracelet: H&M, Ring & Necklace: Thrifted
Earrings: Uganda

Hey there!
How are you guys?  I'm on spring break right now.  I've finally healed from my wisdom tooth extraction.  It's so nice to be able to eat normal food again! I hoping to find a prom dress over break.  Any ideas for a unique dress?

My outfit is almost the same as this one from not to long ago.  I just added accessories and a cardigan.  This is definitely my favorite sweater right now.  I got it from a thrift store for less than $10.  My earrings are from Uganda (where my mom is from).  Earrings are my favorite thing to get while I'm in Uganda.  The hat I'm wearing originally had awful felt cheetah print flowers on it.  I cut them off and placed a floral print belt around it.  It's kind of random but I like it!  What do you think of the belt around my hat?

Have a lovely week :)

Burgundy Shorts

Top: American Rag from Macy's
Belt: Thrifted
Shorts: Forever21
Shoes: Chinese Laundry

These are definitely my new favorite shorts!  I've been obsessed with shorts lately.  I've also been feeding that obsession with a few new pairs!  I never used to wear shorts because I thought I looked weird in them (I'm not sure why).  But I'm over that and loving my new burgundy shorts!

Back to the looking weird thing: These days I don't care as much if I look weird.  The more I become engulfed in fashion the more I just wear what I love.  I've worn this white maxi skirt to school and received a few weird looks but that didn't matter to me.  My friends at Fashion Rebellion say, "Dress to express, not to impress."  I like that.  Whether I'm wearing jeans and t-shirt or a maxi skirt and cropped sweater, as long as I'm being myself, I'm okay.

The Best Friend Anyone Could Ask For :)

Say hello to my best friend Dana...she's pretty cool.  We've known each other our whole lives and consider ourselves sisters.  Our mom's are best friends too, cute right??  We got really bored and had no transportation at the time.  We took a somewhat unexciting walk, but still had a lot of fun. We also went to goodwill, a movie, and came back home and ate mac & cheese.  It was a chill night but sometimes that's nice.

This was a fun outfit for me, seeing as I usually wear skirts and dresses. This felt a little more casual and laid back. I borrowed Dana's brown boots, and I absolutely love them! After all the bright, bold, solid colors I’ve worn lately I really enjoyed the chill earth tones (with my red suspenders of course!).

Esperanza's Effortless Style

Chic Ruffles - Esperanza

I absolutely love everything about Esperanza Spalding!  Both her music and fashion are inspiring.  This post was on my Claire's blog, but my camera is broken right now so I'm kind of re-posting this.  Grammy winner Esperanza's style is just as calm and cool as her jazzy music.  Oh, and have you seen her hair?!?!  I LOVE IT.  I have been wearing my hair natural all the time for around a year now.  It's so much easier and so much more fun.  I don't normally go full out fro like Esperanza....but maybe I should more often?  I loved how simple and feminine her outfit was.  The little ruffled top and boyfriend jeans looked so effortless on her.  I had to give it a try.
