The Wishlist!

It's 1 am on a school night and I'm feeding my Polyvore addiction.  I have homework.  I have choir practice in the morning.  I'm pretty sure there are a million things I should be doing right now that I'm not.  I'm not doing those things because I've been bit by the wishlist bug.  I just had to do it.  Not only did I have to make the list, I felt compelled to make it right now.  My wishlist is more to show the trends I'd like to try out.  The only thing I might actually buy are the red velvet Doc Martens.  Rather than wishlist I would call it Holiday Outfit Inspiration.  Without further delay, here it is:

The Best Friend Anyone Could Ask For :)

Say hello to my best friend Dana...she's pretty cool.  We've known each other our whole lives and consider ourselves sisters.  Our mom's are best friends too, cute right??  We got really bored and had no transportation at the time.  We took a somewhat unexciting walk, but still had a lot of fun. We also went to goodwill, a movie, and came back home and ate mac & cheese.  It was a chill night but sometimes that's nice.

This was a fun outfit for me, seeing as I usually wear skirts and dresses. This felt a little more casual and laid back. I borrowed Dana's brown boots, and I absolutely love them! After all the bright, bold, solid colors I’ve worn lately I really enjoyed the chill earth tones (with my red suspenders of course!).

Little White Dress

Dress- Just Ginger (from Marshalls), Tights - Romwe,  Boots - Chinese Laundry,  Necklace - Claire's

Hello!  I just got back from Uganda a few days ago.  One of my parents is from there.  I got to visit with family I don't normally see.  It was a fast trip, being only a week and a half, but it was also a good trip.

Now I am catching up with homework - which is no easy task.  It really piles up fast, doesn't it?  I've decided to take a break and post my outfit of the day.  This is what I wore to school.  I wish I had somewhere else to go today.  This is my favorite dress right now.  I fell in love with all the little details when I found it!  I got it for 8 dollars on clearance because the zipper was broken (I didn't even notice the broken zipper until after I bought it..oops).  It was totally worth it!  Zipper is now fixed and I love my dress!

PS - These are my free vertical striped tights from Romwe!

Black and Blue

Top - Gap Skirt - Marshalls  Necklace - Claire's

Don't you love relaxing on a Sunday?  Despite the fact that I had some homework to do it was still a good day.  I got to catch up on some TV shows and do my nails.  I redid my nails three times before settling with this final result.  As for my outfit, this what you're likely to find me wearing at home(and outside the house too, this skirt definitely deserves to see more than the inside of my house): A maxi skirt and a t - shirt or a maxi dress.  They are the most comfortable thing in the world - and cute too!

BTW, I got the design for my nails from this youtube video: http://youtu.be/wX_STg1ZsjQ

FINALLY!

Shirt - Razzle Dazzle??  Belt - Claire's

Skirt - H & M  Shoes - MIA

I FINALLY got a new camera!!  I am so happy!  I was so frustrated with my broken camera and trying to use my brothers.  But that's all over now!

Anyway... this is what I wore to school today.  I love this skirt - it's so flowy and simple.  I wear these shoes a lot but they just seemed right.  Also, I felt this skirt needed heels and wedges are the only type of heels I wear to school.  Oh, and how about that hair?!?  I straightened it and after about 30 seconds outside it got quite poofy!  Nonetheless, I love this look!

Esperanza's Effortless Style

top - thrifted
belts - Claire's
jeans - JC Penney

top - thrifted

Afro - All Natural :)

Chic Ruffles - Esperanza

I absolutely love everything about Esperanza Spalding!  Both her music and fashion are inspiring.  This post was on my Claire's blog, but my camera is broken right now so I'm kind of re-posting this.  Grammy winner Esperanza's style is just as calm and cool as her jazzy music.  Oh, and have you seen her hair?!?!  I LOVE IT.  I have been wearing my hair natural all the time for around a year now.  It's so much easier and so much more fun.  I don't normally go full out fro like Esperanza....but maybe I should more often?  I loved how simple and feminine her outfit was.  The little ruffled top and boyfriend jeans looked so effortless on her.  I had to give it a try.
